Phytoremediation

(1.) Just and all around enjoyable word to say.

(2.) Another fun little Phyto Fact (as I call them in my head) that proves there is power behind this plant.

Here we all are, mostly learning about what the plant can do the for the body, and low and behold, the plants out here doing good for the planet!

Funny ole world innit?!

Essentially, phytoremediation is the process of detoxing soil or groundwater, by means of plants.

Ya see, some plants / organisms are categorized as Bioaccumulators (another fun one to say) which means they absorb bits of their environment faster than they can break down or expel them.

This applies to both positive and negative substances.

Though many utilize this to take in necessary nutrients to sustain life, some plants seem to be particularly strong at attracting harmful components such as metals and toxins. These are referred to as Hyperaccumulators.

And cannabis is about as "hyper" as they get.

So much so, that they even did an experiment near Chernobyl to test the effect hemp would have on removing radiation and other harmful components from the uninhabitable environment.

Much like medicinal consumption, it wasn't a proven cure.

But it did show promise in aiding it's environment.

So obviously, I would still strongly advise against wandering around Chernobyl smoking a joint thinking you’ve unlocked environmental immunity.

Unless you want the next documentary they make to be about you

And unfortunately....I don't think you'll around to collect those residuals.

BUT I DIGRESS...

To my original point...

Real mouth party of a word.

Beyond that...great for the environment.

Fun. Educational.

Cannabis.
