LOVE THAT MONEY!!

On today's episode of Random Phyto-Facts

We talkin bout money!!

Specifically tax revenue

Upon random research...

I learned cannabis has generated close to $26 Billion since inception in 2014

~

Though I'm not surprised by the number...

It's still a pretty fucking big number.

~

Think of the potential benefits from that amount...

Don't worry, I did the math

~

TEACHERS: Avg. US Salary ($70,000)

• $26B = 370,000 Teachers Paid*

SCHOOLS: Avg Elementary ($40M)

• $26B = 650 New Schools*

ROADS: Conservative Avg. 1mile ($2M)

• $26B = 13,000 Miles of road*

*Give or take a few permits and school board meetings (I'm not a calculator or accountant, take the figures lightly)*

Obviously I have no idea if thats what the revenue is being used for

But from a numbers stand point..

You can't argue that the markets are working.

And speaking of working...

don't forget it's people generating all this!

~

Like any other industry

People strap up their boots every day

and make this plant proud!

~

Unlike many other industries

Majority of these jobs are stateside...

~

An estimated 440,000+ (FT) U.S. jobs have been created by the Cannabis industry.

That's roughly the population of Oakland.

~

So, ya know, just a plant out here creating jobs and building schools

no big deal...

~

But if that wasn't enough

It's also interesting to think,

that all of this happened,

while "sailing at half mast"

~

With the slow build of states to adopt programs

and the endless list of regulations and legal challenges

the industry has been a plant growing through a crack in the concrete

~

IMAGINE what could be accomplished with a country-wide restructure

The outcome could be revolutionary!

~

But rather than dive deeper in the speculative rabbit hole.

I'll let the numbers continue to speak for themselves.
